Internal reconfiguration

I’ve reconfigured the site to make less reliance on those textual documents which were held on PDF. You shouldn’t see any change in content, only that the pages will appear in a nicer way. The Search tool may work better also.

Pages changed are: Chart Descriptions, UK Sources-Wills, People, Trades and Wisdom.

Kilsby combined into Swinford

Kilsby parish records refer to William Satchell base born son of Ann French. I feel sure this is the same Ann as is later shown as the mother (with a William) of John and Ann at Kilsby. Therefore I have merged these two charts on the assumption that while William may have been “base born”, the parents did intended to marry at the time and did so shortly afterwards, although a date has not yet been found.

The Story of the Satchwells, which is a printer-friendly version of many of the Chart Descriptions on this site, is now up-to-date. I’m now taking a break from research as we approach Christmas.

Help would be appreciated if anyone would like to try further work on the Satchells.

Monument in Kilsby church

I found Rebecca Satchwell’s tomb in Kilsby Church, Northamptonshire. The inscription is shown on the Monuments page for Northamptonshire.

Rosemary and I spotted a glitch in the Packwood chart. The burial of Mary Anne had been ascribed to Mary Anne Whaley but it fits a lot better to Mary Anne Satchwell on the Minworth chart born 1817.

These two charts are revised.
